its a DVD Recorder with 200Gb Hard Disk Drive

[Model No: DMR-EH60]

my friends say just use the harddrive and theres no need for disks. but i figure i might get some anyway.

acording to the instructions it says i should use dvd-ram. some cartridge thing. are these the best? can i just buy normal dvd writeables? are the disks reusable or one off burns?

  1. hard drive will work fine, but if you want to take your recordings with you, thats when you'd need the dvd's to burn onto

dvd ram is re-writable, but supposedly there is a limit to how many times you can burn one cd/dvd.  i've been using the same few cd's for music for years, and i haven't reached the limit yet apparently =P
