Just bought an xtq 125 speedo not working can anyone tell me if the sensor on the forks should pick up a signa

it looks like it should pick up a signal from something on the wheel.is there anything i might be missing. desperate for anyones help. cheers.

  1. If there is a sensor on the forks,  is there supposed to be a magnet ?  on the rim ?
