Just bought double wide in Arkansas. Now how does a city slicker learn to keep the place up?

I need to learn how to protect the lawn and home from the elements. Arkansas is a state with many rual areas.There are a lot of fields and farm land. This place even has cat fish farms ,yes the grow fish. I never lived in a small country town or had a mobile home so I am at a loss as to what to do about weatherizing, insect fighting,plants to buy that are an aide to help keep home safe from snakes and bugs.plants that are safe for the enviroment. I really enjoy the out side and the many types of birds that I see. But I am snack for the insects help.some people say skin so soft from avon helps keep the bite of insect down. Will I must have more than my share of bugs than they do. Now can anyone guide through this season of heat and bugs?

  1. Contact the county agent to get yourself started. The land grant college for the state will probably have a ton of print publications and a website too.


  2. Don't worry, tornados love mobles/doublewides.   Cut a hole in the floor and make a storm cellar underneath it.
