Question:

Just bought spring piston air rifle, help?

I just bought a Crosman G1 Extreme. I shot it about 20 times or so and noticed that some smoke came out of the barrel when i broke it to reload. Is that normal?

Also, i was wondering if there were any tips to maintain the gun and its power/accuracy. Cleaning kits?

And for anyone else who owns a Crosman G1 Extreme, are there any tips or things i should know as a fellow owner?

Thanks so much!

  1. You can find what you need to no in books.

  2. That smoke coming out of your barrel is oil vapor.

There's too much in there and its being 'shot out'. - No worry.

You've got a manual that came with the gun. - Read it.

    Shoot a Diana 52 myself.

You'll find that 'Springers' like a loose, consistant hold to shoot

    accurately.

(You're not going to stop that 'jump' as the piston drops, so try to

let it happen the same way each time.)

    Best of luck.

  3. The smoke coming out of the barrel is not good. That means that your piston is having a diesel affect and that is not good on your piston. To fix this by some good air lube should fix it.
