Just came off depo provera?

Question

was only on it for less than a year, will it takes ages for me to get preggers? i am still quite young at 22 :)

hi, i came off the depo provera injections to try for a baby - finally had my daughter 2 years after! (i was 21) I had only been on them a year, but had previously been on it for a few years with a gap in the middle.

the worse thing was that my periods returned after just a few months so i thought my body was back to normal - however it took well over a year to get pregnant.

all i can advise you to do is be patient, in the mean time try and get fit, improve your diet (same goes for your partner!) and cut down drinking and stop smoking etc. the more things you can do to help your body prepare the better. good luck! x

I have been off of it since january and still nothing.  I went on the pill for two months to kick start my cycle, and I had my first real period august 11th.  We'll see!

I was on depo for 5.5 years! I stopped taking to so that we could have a baby w/in a year. Well I just ovulated for the 1st time in July and the second time I ovulated was in August and I got my BFP on friday! My periods started being regular in May. There is hope that you can get pregnant before an enire year of being off depo! I am 21 also! I honestly thought it would we would never get pregnant because of all the depo horror stories I have hear, but we are now and couldn't be happier! it can take time, doctors say to come off it at least 6 months before thinking about having a family.....but hey I got pregnant when I was on it so its not the same for everyone, im sure you will get pregnant soon, just dont stress and it will come, dont worry**
