I am normally a quiet person and I am a L*****n. Sometime I hear talk at work of a sexual nature. Usually something like (someone asking someone else other than me) "Do you smoke after s*x?" I'd rather not hear about anyones particular s*x habits. However, I don't know what's considered normal and accepted as far as this talk goes. How far does it have to go before it's unacceptable?

I don't consider myself a prude, and I can tolerate this sort of thing. But I am wondering where the limit is, because there may come a time where I get bothered by it.

  1. h**l, if it bothers you, then move away or politely, or any way you want, tell them to shut the **** up. The "acceptance" varies from person to person. Some people can go into detail about their s*x lives without a notion in their head that it's wrong or unacceptable. It's whats up to you not the social stereotype.

  2. Due to sexual harassment lawsuits in the past, most companies have stated that no s*x talk is acceptable. It has nothing to do with your sexuality it just has no place in the workplace.

I know for me it would make me uncomfortable and I am straight. No I am not a prude. One thing I would do is kindly ask them to refrain from that type of conversation. If they do not want to respect your wishes, then contact a supervisor.

  3. s*x talk isn't appropriate at work.  You should report these people to your supervisor.
