I am just merely curious on this, because I have a female friend who is a widow. She is 32 yrs old and has 2 kiddos 10b, 13g. Me and her are just friends. She works like a assistant prinicpal at a high school and she tells me, that her job is very stressful, lots of pressure and tons of c**p. Thanks everyone.

  1. Be there when she needs you.

Help her when and if you can.  Let her know that you are available.

If you are capable, take the kids to a movie, and let her have a day to herself, or with her girl friends.

Pay for a sitter and take her out to dinner now and then.

Sometimes, for no good reason, just walk up to her and hold her.  If she asks "Why", tell her you don' t need a reason, sometimes we all just need a big hug.

Wash her car.  Buy her some gas.  Pay for a house cleaner to come in and clean her house for her...let her arrange the date of cleaning.

Tell her she's a very nice person, and mean it.  Stare into her eyes sometimes.  Say nothing.

You get the idea...it's easy to show love.  It just takes a little thought.  Watch what she has to do, and help her out with it.

  2. That is sooo nice of you to want to take care of this lady!  I would suggest that you show her and her kids a good time.  Maybe take them all to a movie or the zoo or a carnival.  Just do fun/relaxing activities together.  You can stop by and bring some coffee and hot chocolate + breakfast in the morning.  You can cook for them (it would be nice for the lady to have a break from cooking for a day).  Just try to cheer her and her kiddies up.
