How did shooters, all over the world bring their weapon and ammunitions for the olympic game in Beijing and what is the control like?

you can travel with firearms. It is actually just a matter of having you paperwork in order. There are also laws about how they have to be stored and locked so they can be moved safely through the airport and into the luggage compartment. However, China is crazy so i do not know what additional laws they have.

That is a good question, but China has been so crazy about making sure the Bejing Olympics go off without a hitch that they would rather risk slipping in gun control than ruin the event. That said, I'm sure the control measures are like something out of "mission impossible."

They probably flew with it. They do need paperwork. ****, it's easier to get a gun through an airport in China for olympic shooters than new york. I don't know how to react to that.

they declared it at customs. for sure inspected thoroughly and with paperworks and duly licensed.

I'm sure they must have gotten some type of official license/permission from the Olympics to allow them to do that, but controlling for genuine permission must be a challenge. Good question!!

The firearms and ammunition are shipped ahead of time in shipping containers.  Chinese gov't authorities take control of the containers when they enter the country and they are taken to a secure storage facility where the events take place.  Athletes are only allowed access to their firearms at certain scheduled times for practice and competition. Identification is carefully checked and the athlete is escorted from the storage facility to the range and escorted back to the storage facility after he is done.  Ammunition is carefully accounted for and all unfired rounds are returned to storage.  This procedure is very similar at all Olympic competitions.
