  1. You need to wash it out if you haven't done so already.  Get a paper towel and keep pressure on it, if it doesn't stop you need to go to the emergency room.  If it is too small for stitches they will probably just use super glue or some type of liquid cement (DON'T TRY THIS YOURSELF), if its big enough for stitches then they'll give you stitches.

  2. erm if it doesn't stop within an hour you might wanna get it checked out.... something to do with platelets or some sort of blood cells that are supposed to clot to stop bleeding.... sign of leukemiua

  3. Stitches are for real lacerations. A small cut on the finger, even if its deep, would be a waste of your and the doctor's time. Clean the wound with iodine and maybe put a bit of neosporin on it and cover it with gauze and bandage it. Or you could also put super glue on it and pinch it closed until its cured.

  4. Errr, it depends on your body type -

strong immune system system? it'll heal.

    weak immune system? emergency room.

  5. Well if it never stops, as in just keeps on bleeding and never stops, yeah, you need to see a doctor. But, if it bleeds only when pressured only a little, that's not really good because one you may be loosing too much blood and it won't allow you to do things you'd want to do. In this case, see a doctor!!

  6. Then why are you typing on the computer!

Get a heavy duty band aid.

  7. You need to wrap it and hold it above your heart to slow the bleeding. Yes, it will throb, but this should stop the bleeding.

  8. ice can help constrict the blood vessels, also pressure, apply a loose padding once bleeding has stopped to protect it from the trauma of being bumped.

  9. wrap it up with a bandaid then until it clots up.

  10. Try a "liquid band-aid." It is a bottle of liquid that will air dry on your skin and seal the wound. It works great. It works much better than a regular band-aid. (Although it stings like h**l when you put in on.)

  11. Go to an Urgent Care... sounds like it may need some stitches.

In the meantime, put pressure on it for a few minutes while you elevate it. Use gauze if you have some while you put the pressure on.

  12. you may have cut an artery check that out cause you could actually bleed to death

  13. clean it first

put on some neosporin and tightly wrap a bandage around it

if it doesnt stop bleeding or if its a deep cut, you need to get stitches

  14. hold a towel on it and hold your hand up in the air. This will slow or stop the bleeding. If it's a deep cut, go get a stitch at the emergency room!!

  15. id call up your doctor.

  16. sounds like it's time for a little adventure to the emergency room for stitches...

  17. is the finger still attached?
