and it said { network unable to transmit numbers} what does this mean thanks

  1. Hi,

    The call will have come from a network that does not support ClIP (Calling line Identity Presentation), or a international call, that during transmission lost this element of the call. If someone withholds their number with 141 then the exchange will tell you that the number is withheld.

  2. That message was caused  by a fault on the system that converts the data on the switches (for the last caller to your CLI) into speech. There are various IVR messages that default when something screws up.

  3. I expect it was an ex directory number or the caller dialed 141 before dialing your number
