Just drove my car now it wont start?

Question

all of my lights ,air everything comes on but it just makes a click noise ,we tried to jump the battery and it still did not start, now it did seem like a ruff start before it quit on me, im not quite sure but i think when i tried to start it the first time it made a clicking grinding noise now its just one click and nothing

If it wont go with a jump from a good battery then from what you say it sounds like you may have a duff starter motor

How old is the car?  

Could be the alternater or battery is dying...

If not might be the starter...

take the battery terminals off and clean them and the battery posts real good with a wire brush and reinstall and see what happens.

first thing to try is remove battery cables and scrape them clean and try again ... if it dont start jump it and drive to any parts store or shop and ask them to check the charging system id bet money its just a dirty battery cable

If the battery is fully charged and the cables are clean your starter is shot.

I've had a similar experience. The battery had enough juice to run the ac, and lights, but not enough to start the car. There could be something else like the solenoid that is draining your battery, have the battery tested to see if it can still hold a charge. Kelly F's suggestion is excellent. You can buy a battery cable cleaner/scraper type thing at most any parts store.
