  1. Pretty standard these days.  Only he knows if he has anything to worry about.  If he did not lie to them, there is no reason to worry.  Perhaps they want him to have a higher clearance.

  2. He is probably enlisting for a job that needs a Secret clearance or maybe Top Secret. That would be the only reason why an investigator would want to meet up with him. To get a security clearance, they do a credit check and background investigation. So if he has ever had any legal issues or bad credit that would be one reason.

  3. This should only be necessary if he or you need a Top Secret clearance.

  4. Standard procedure for a security clearance.

  5. Yeah your husband is hiding something, he's going down.

  6. does he have poor credit, that COULD potentially hurt his chances at getting a security clearance but probably won't

  7. It didn't used to be, but it's pretty standard now... Department of Homeland Security is tightening up. Now they actually call the references, meet with them and ask them questions. Don't sweat it.

  8. It's standard if the job your husband has gone for requires security clearance.  It's mostly done for jobs that require secret or higher clearance.
