Question

If Jr. were to be as aggressive as Kyle is, what kind of race would we have then? Would they run over everybody else, or just each other?

Curious to see what everybody thinks....

OMG I would love to see these two with absolutely equal equipment go head to head.  

They would both give it all they had with neither trying to wreck the other.

But if we were to start them in the back I think we would see a few wrecked cars in their wake!  lol

We'd have Dale Sr. vs. DW part 2.

One aggressive, yet for the most part quiet and reserved in person.

The other, aggressive, loud, and has no problems hamming up the villain role.

If he was half the man his dad was then we wouldn't even be talking about the agressiveness of kyle. WE deffifinetly need somebody like his dad,  Dale Sr. to  take over the sport again!!  One loss that will never be replaced!!

Considering Kyle has only been in one accident this season that turned the world against him in sprint cup im sure they would have a normal race and kyle would win because he has a lot more talent to go with his aggression

Man that would be a race to see.  Junior needs to get some aggression in him and not on the radio to his crew chief.  I am hoping that when the chase begins he will just let it all out and what happens happens. I don' t think Junior would intentionally run over anybody, but when it would come down to Kyle and him he won't back down.

If Dale Jr. was as aggressive as Kyle is, I think that right now Jr. would have more wins than he does now at this point in the season. I'm in no way bashing on Jr, its just not his driving style and I respect that. And I'm not putting Kyle down either is just that they are polar opposites when it comes to driving style.

junior has driven just as aggressively as kyle, he just has never had the same type of success doing it. he usually wrecks himself by not choosing good situations to do it in

I'd think they'd wreck each other, there's barely enough room for Kyle with the lines he runs. lol No disrespect to him but he takes some wide lines and he even goes on the apron. Good question!

If so, then we would have a race to watch for sure...and no, not everybody else..just each other..you would see a lot of bump and run..side by side and fingers flying..lol..and a lot of trips to the "Big Red Truck"

i'll bite, halfway. this question assumes that kyle's aggressiveness means all he does is run over people, which i don't agree is his key to success, especially this year. yeah, a mistake here and there, but running over people is not how he got his wins. more often than not, if and when he has run someone over he has NOT won.

and if junior were to be as aggressive as kyle, then to be successful he'd have to have the same skill-set and experience kyle has with driving aggressively. junior's skill-set and experience are results of the way he has always driven - which is not "aggressively." this question is like the one yesterday where someone asked about junior being as aggressive as dale sr. and just like i answered then, i believe if junior became as aggressive as kyle, it would not be a great race for him - it's not his style; a driver tying to change up styles generally tends to lead to worse results.

bottom line, no contest. kyle is used to driving like "controlled chaos" and junior isn't.

OMG, it would be great to see, but Dale Jr just doesn't have that agressive style but dang it would be sooooooo coooool, and I'd love to be at that race.. But then he has said he doesn't want to be compared to his dad, ah come on Dale Jr just for one race pretty please.

I personally think when the chase begins Junior is going to vamp up his aggressiveness and we will get to see some of good 'ol dad in him.I believe he is just working on staying where he's at in 2nd place until the chase starts and then he going to really turn it on.Yeah every race counts but the chase  decides who is the champion.I for see alot of rubbing on JR's part in the chase races. I believe alot if people will be surprised

Actually I believe Kyles aggressiveness is way over exaggerated on the CUP level.  I also think that JRs is under exaggerated especially at restrictor tracks.  Jr is the most aggressive sometimes.

I believe they are fairly equal.  

NOTE:  I said on the cup level.  I think the other series are childs play for Kyle.

Well if Jr drove like Kyle does, then there would be a caution every other lap, and the races would last for 12 hrs instead of 4-5 as is now...and everyone else would be slammed into the walls instead of just JR

but, Jr is not that kind of driver and never will be........
