I was looking around on registry for local offenders and I found my bosses name on there. I looked in it and it is for sure him. What should I do with this information? I like my job and my boss. Should I just keep quiet and pretend I don't know or what? He is not a child molester, as in little kids, just statutory rape and a long time ago. According to the file when I looked on case-net, her family even went to the court to ask for leniency.

  1. The s*x offender registry is a farce. I would never bring it up.

  2. Why should it even matter if your boss is on the registry? Obviously it wasn't something severe like brutally sodomizing children and murdering them. I don't see the point of even mentioning it. He may feel like you're trying to gain from it, like wanting to future blackmail him. I see no point in bringing it up to anyone at all.

  3. h**l no, did you ever think that it could be someone with the same name? Besides you would be suprised at the different reasons someones name could end up on that list. Keep an eye open and your mouth shut.

  4. No, you shouldn't say anything. Most especially, you should not share what you found with your co-workers. First, you don't know the circumstances under which he ended up on that list. It's very likely that it wasn't an offense the way you're thinking it was. He could have been an 18 yr. old who had consentual s*x with his 17 yr. old girlfriend and legally he would be an offender. I actually know a guy who dated a girl who said she was 20. She worked fulltime, did not attend school and there was no reason to suspect she really wasn't 20. They dated for several months and he even moved in with her in her parents home. She ended up pregnant and he wanted to marry her. At that point she had to disclose the truth...she was only 16. He did marry her and in fact, her parents went with them to Vegas for the wedding. A year later, she filed for divorce and at the same time, filed criminal charges against him for "unlawful s*x with a minor."  Now mind you......they were legally MARRIED and she was still able to do this out of vengence in the state of CA. He did 6 mos in jail and is now a registered s*x offender. So you just don't know the reasons behind things sometimes. I say leave it alone, pretend you didn't ever see it. You work together and if he knew you were aware of this it could potentially create a very uncomfortable situation between you. Why embarrass the guy?  You said the parents of the girl even asked the court for leniency, so obviously there were some circumstances surrounding the issue.

  5. Don't say anything! Just watch out for now i guess.
