Just found out i have a different blood group to my mom and dad and sister is this possible ?

i have just found out that my blood type is ab+ my parents and my sister are al o+ how is this possible ? i had a heart operation when was 2 years old but their is no indication i had a blood transfusion if i did it wouldn't be possible for my blood to be changed ?

  1. you don't have to have the same blood type or group. Many women have RH negative  blood and babies have positive. You are all positive.  not unusual at all

No, blood types don't just change, and if you had been given blood that wasn't AB+, you would have potentially died.  What this means is that they aren't your biological family, ask you mother or father about this.  There is no way if your parents are O type blood for them to produce an AB type child.  Sorry.

  3. Hmmm, none of my kids have the same blood type as me or their father, but we have a different set of blood types.  Are you sure that your parents are O+?

  4. no, your blood couldnt have been changed because your body would have been making the same time of blood, and they give blood through transfusions, but the blood type of the given blood needs to be the same type as yours

    and it is possible, if youve done biology at school, its like the same with the big letters and little letters, like a 1 in 4 chance of being different
