  1. you don't have to be overweight to get it, some people get it because they're underweight, and some get it without any weight problems, don't worry and talk to your obgyn about things like clomid that can help you conceive with PCOS, you can also ask doctors online for free for advice and find others with PCOS and taking Clomid who have gotten pregnant, try fertilityties.com

    good luck!!

  2. I don't have it but I've been ttc for about two years so I've learned a lot about it, I think it's a lot more common then people know..

PCOS is the most common endocrine disorder of women, affecting as many as 1 in 10.

here is a great site all about it http://www.soulcysters.com/

  3. i dont know how i got it as i had been thin all my life and then all of a sudden i gained weight for absoluely no reason and had high insulin levels and high testosterone levels. different doctors tell you different things.

clomid is good for trying to conceive if you have pcos.

  4. Hi it is very common it just happpens but if you would like more information go to these websites.

  5. hi, im 18 and was diagnosed two yrs ago. i dont have any periods at all and now am having further tests to rule out other posiblities. dont panic. you are certainly not alone. i know sevral ppl with pcos and they both have 4 children. victorial beckham also suffers. i dnt know the ins and out but basically its summin to do wiv cysts on our ovaries. speak to ur doctor they will be able to refer u to a specialist who will most likely prescribed a drug similar to something called metformin which is what my consultant is considering putting me on.

  6. it comes from a problem with the way insulin works. usually when someone eats too many sugary and high carb diet, their muscles and other cells become resistant to insulin, so the pancreas makes more insulin and the high insulin levels stimulate the ovaries to produce too much testosterone. the hormone balance gets uneven and then follicles develop but the LH hormone isn't high enough to make the follicle release the egg, so the follicle becomes a cyst. over time these cysts build up, and release hormones themselves, worsening the imbalance problem. if you eat a diet high in simple carbs and sugars, and white breadm white rice etc, cut them down, and you are lucky as you don't need to lose weight.

it can be caused by both genetics and lifestyle.

  7. Hi, I got told 1 and a half year's ago i have got PCOS..So the doctor said that i would have more tests done and i would end up going to London for second advice.. I worried like h**l for nearly a year as i still hadn't conceived when we went to London ( st Bart's ) they done tests to show i hadn't got PCOS i had unexplained fertility... The doctors put me on Clomid and the second round on them tablets i got pregnant ( now 5 weeks 3 days ) So what I'm trying to say is that maybe you want to get more tests done before you start worrying about pcos i went a year thinking i had something when i didn't .   BEST OF LUCK
