I have just found out my b/f has been in prison and I know some of the details as to why but wondered if anyone knows where I can go to find out more information, are there such places I can go to look at court trial transcripts or something along those lines. All I know is his name and the year it happened and roughly whereabouts.

Please could anyone help.

Thank you

  1. I can direct you where to go to find the info you want, happy to do so for the right reason.  So, what is the reason?

Understand, that he shared it with you in the first place demonstrates a certain level of trust he has for you.  Are you honoring that trust by trying to dig deeper into his past?  Might it not be better to talk with him about it?

  2.    The first question you should ask yourself is, with the little info. you have, could it possibly put you in harms way?

there's a saying that goes "you ask for what you look for", more than half the time it's better to leave information in the past where it belongs. i personally have a problem with that for some reason i feel like any guy i date i need to know their past, and i'm always looking for things. no one person is perfect i'm sure you know this, some people don't like to bring things up because they would rather to keep it behind them and move on.

if he went to prison for like a history of beating his ex, or some kind of abuse thing like that, you might want to watch it.  another big one is repeated theft, you may want to hold on to your purse...lol, well it seems like you really care for this guy, communication is the most important thing in a relationship.

  3. Get away from him asap.  Seriously, he's lying if he was convicted but says he didn't do it.  Get out now before he kills you too.

  4. ok

  5. Each court house should have certain information it can release to the public. Either go on line and search the online records for for the particular case or go to the court that had jurisdiction and see the clerk for public information on the case. It is easy to do. However, why bother if he's been in prison Id say cut your losses now and move on to someone who isnt a convicted felon.

  6. Google it.

  7. Let it go. people make mistakes.

  8. They ALL say they didn't do it... that they were 'railroaded'.

You need to back out of this situation as soon as possible.

The only way you'll be able to get the info you need is to hire a private investigator to dig everything up.

Please get out while you can.
