So we decided to start TTC for our second. Our son is 6 months old *we wanted them close in age and if anyone gives any comments about that I will report* My son will be 16 months (1 1/2) when the baby is born. Anyone have children spaced out like that? How was it? Thanks. *oh and any ideas how to tell the grandparents. No ulrasound picture ideas, we did that with teh first*

  1. My boys are 15 months apart.   It wasn't planned, but we deal with it  :)  It's crazy at times, but I love every bit of it.

They're only 2 and 10 months right now- but the bond that's there is incredible.  They love each other and it shows.  Whenever the younger one is hurt (he's learning to walk right now- so bumps and bruises are common), the older one is always concerned.  Whenever the older one is throwing a fit, the younger one goes over to console hime.

My older brother and I are also 15 months apart and it was great always having a playmate at home.

  2. I made sure I spaced my four kids 3 years apart for my sanity, and the oldest look like twinns, same height, and the youngest also are the same height. My boys are short. They always played together great, they are also homeschooled.

This last baby will be almost 7 yrs apart from the last time I was pregnant.

  3. had 2 daughters exactly 1 year apart...the first few years they loved eachother ....then for around 10 years they wanted eachother dead...now they get along fine...because theyre both bratty teenagers:)...the diapers and formula were not fun when they were young...anyone offers to babysit jump at the break:)good luck....as for the grandparents...just tell them outright and remember its your life not theirs dont let them give you any flack or itll last a lifetime

  4. Congrats! It's going to be like having twins! My children are 4, 2, and 1. My 2 boys are the same age for 3 days and it's great because they wear the same size. The stress will come when they both want to be carried and want attention. Always remember that the older one comes first because the baby won't remember.

  5. I dont have kids that close together but my older sisters are 15 months apart and my mom says that it was the hardest thing ever they were both in diapers and both still real babies they had to be carried every where and they argued constantly they still do I personally would never ever in my life want kids that close together you barely had enough time to settle in with one and you can report me if you like but that is my opinion I just hope you have a lot of money for diapers and a lot of patience!

  6. i have a brother thats a year and a half older than me. i also have three other brothers (yes four brothers, im the only girl) and i have to say, the one that is a year and a half older than me is the one that i am definitely closest with. we're in school together, he's gone through everything i did in school, he can help me with a lot of my homework, cute friends ;) and we just have a lot more in common than i do with my other siblings. i feel very blessed to always have him there and i feel that you are making an extremely wise decision. Good for you!! (i'm 13, almost 14 btw)

oh, and about telling your parents, just pop it in a conversation casually and see what they say.

    Good luck!!
