Just got a Yamaha Motor Scooter?

Question

Does anyone know the laws/licensing requirements to drive one in NJ? Do I stay with the traffic or do I stay to the side. This scooter can go up to 60 mph. It has motorcycle plates on it already from my brother in law. Do I need a motorcycle license? Tried searching the website/links, no good.

well where I come from (Canada) if ist a 49cc or under then you gust need a car license, but if its a 50cc or over then you need a motorcycle license. Ive herd this question on both sides of the line and it seems to be the same. you should ask these guys they will help with you questions and alot more. good luck. ps. you need to stay with trafic like in a car, but you should read up on motorcycle rules from you local DMV.
