  1. I had two fillings done and they hurt for about two to three days afterwards and then it went away...bt I suggest that you use a different type of pain killers because that may be whats wrong..you should use tylenol, eventhough you may sleep alot but the pain will go away.

  2. the pain normally continues for a couple of days- sorry theres not much you can do about it.

  3. Did your dentist tell you it was a deep cavity? Sometimes those are sooo close to the nerve and a liner is placed so it can start to heal. Tooth will be sensitive to cold air/ water/ food. Stay away from those things for a couple of days. If he gave you pain meds take them. Sometimes some pain does occur for a day or two, but it should subside, if it doesn't definitely call him/her back.

  4. wait a few days for things to settle down ...you could hold a warm flannel on the side of your face

  5. This is common especially with white fillings. My daughter had this and wasn't told this could happen with getting white fillings. She hurt really bad and had to take Aleve for the pain and brush with sensodyne toothpaste for a couple of months. It went away after a while.
