Just got a new lip ring. Am I supposed to disinfect it? How?

Why would you apoligize and then give a smart comment like that? Next time to avoid that misunderstanding be clear about what you are asking. However you do need to sterilize it. Imagine how many hands have touched that. Just sit it in a little rubbing alcohol for a few seconds and wipe it off with a clean paper towel and you will be good to go. I just pour a small amount in the cap of the alcohol container. Works like a charm!  Make sure there is no excess alcohol left on the jewlery or it may sting your lip.

Hey I know alot about piercings and the number one thing not to do is do it yourself unless you are a piecer or a tattoo artist. I have had piercings before and I have tattoos. For piercings use bacteria, it will clean the surrounding area. Oh and no kissing or any other sexaul activities that involove the mouth.
