  1. no motor

    no register

    urr hawt

  2. registration is usually for "motor" vehicles..if you put a small outboard on it, it would need to be reg.,,if just rowing you shouldnt need one,,,but call your local D.M.V. and ask them

we see ur hot,,,as last post says,,,,but ta h**l with you,,,,show me a pic of the boat,,heh,,is she taken?,,does she "drift" on the first date?,,if you get a reg. fer her,,,,could i have her #? ;)

  3. Call the State you are in and ask. Chances are if you want insurance you need it registered.

  4. The registration laws for paddle boat vary considerably from state to state.   Call your county courthouse to ask.  In some states this is handled by DMV and in others the office of the registrar.    I'm sure if you call the wrong one they will get you pointed in the right direction.

If it is supposed to be registered, you may run into problems if you don't have the registration signed over from the previous owner.   It may be that row boats do not need to be registered, but someone once used it with a motor.

I've either owned or been responsible for 30 or so boats, and insurance was never a factor with registration.  The state simply wants to easily identify the owner of a boat and collect their fees.   They could care less about insurance issues.
