  1. They are two things, one is temp job at recruitment agency  and another a temp job through a recruitment agency. If the job was through a recruitment agency, their charge @ 90 p per hour wrked may be olegally correct as their charge, but a deduction from the wages @ 90 p per hour for holiday payment is questionabloe. P)lease make sure what it it is. Good luck.

  2. It means you will still get paid during your time off but the recruitment agent won't receive money while you're not working for the client.

ie, they only charge for your actual hours worked

  3. your actual wage is 90p per hour more than you will receive. when you take a day's holiday, the money that the agency have retained will be paid to you as if it were bona fide holiday pay. check with them, though. they have a duty to explain everything to you thoroughly!

  4. Hi

The law says you have to be offered paid holiday time whilst you work so an agency will get round this by claiming that your holiday hours are paid as 'part of your hourly rate'.  Either they will accrue the money for you so you still have an income when you need time off or they will pay it all to you and when you have time off you are unpaid as they 'have already paid you'.  Either way it sucks.  Ask your consultant to explain the agency's system to you properly.  It is his or her job to make sure you understand the rules you are contracted under.
