I am a 20 year old male. I did drink the night before the test, but i didnt know i was getting it. I have been taking 3-4 tylenol a day for shoulder pain for about 4 months now. What could possibly be wrong and what can i do to help my problem if i do have damaged liver and anemia?

  1. Stop drinking and any use of Tylenol whatsoever for 6 months, then have the ALT and AST levels rechecked.  It's not a good idea to take Tylenol if you are a drinker, because the liver has to process both substances, which are not liver-friendly.

If the levels are mildly elevated, the levels should go down.  Just don't take any more Tylenol, and perhaps loose some weight, as excess weight can cause fat to accumulate in the liver, causing AST and ALT levels to rise.

  2. Don Juan gave a good answer for your liver. Stop drinking and taking tylenol. Both of those things are HORRIBLE for your liver.

As for the anemia, eating more protein helps.
