Just got in a terrible car accident....plz help

ok, i just got in a 4 car accident (that wasn't my fault) and me and my boyfriend are hurting pretty bad and i lost my car, i heard i can sue him and get a lot of money, i heard at least a couple GRAND, has anyone been in this situation and/or know what to do??

Wait, are you trying to sue your boyfriend? Uhmmm if not, then first start off by seeing if you had insurance on your car.  If so, insurance will cover some of the damage. If it was the other drivers fault and you can prove it, you should then get a lawyer.  I hope you took pics and told the cops the correct info.  This can be of big help when suing. And please sue for the right reasons.  I'd rather not have any money at all than be a thousand dollars richer but in terrible lower back pain for the rest of my life!

Yes, you are entitled to compensation for pain and suffering.  Go to the emergency room & get treated for your injuries, they need to be documented.  Last time I got rear-ended, was not injured at all, but the guy's insurance company sent me a check for like $300, I didn't ask for it, didn't claim any injury, didn't see a doctor...just out of the blue.

the most important thing is for you and your boyfriend to get better. You two and your car should get covered under the person at fault's insurance in which you should file a police claim immediately and get their insurance information. Get to a doctor and he/she will assess your injuries and help you out. Keep track of every cost for your treatments, your boyfriends treatments, and payments for your car. Also keep track of any money you might have lost as a result of this accident (e.g. not being able to go into work for medical treatment) and also write a list of all the mental anguish you might have gone through. Its all worth something to you. Just don't extort it.

I was in an accident a year ago. Not nearly as bad as yours (although it could have been), and to this day my neck has been in constant pain. The settlement is still an issue and the insurance companies will try to get you to settle for less than you deserve. You're going to have to compromise a little but don't let it be too much. I know one thing, find out which junk yard they took your car to. If you're planning to sue, you'll need to get pictures for evidence of the damage and not to mention estimates too! And be sure to keep track of all you and your boyfriend's medical bills.

You can't be injured that badly if the first thing you think of is how

you can cash in on this and not how you can get better. People like

you are the reason our insurance rates are so high.
