  1. I don't remember any of my piercings itching..  You could be having an allergic reaction unless you're thinking about it too much.  Are they honestly itching?  A lot?  Are your ears reacting in other ways like still being red, etc?  You might want to go back and have them change the studs to something like gold.

  2. i am allergic to cheap silver. it might be an allergic reaction to the metal in teh earring.

  3. allergic make sure they are hypo allergenic

  4. Itching is part of the healing process. Taking some Ibuprofen inflammatory meds may help. Try not to itch that, thats just putting bacteria into the piercing making you at higher risk for infection.

  5. piercings are actually small wounds, and wounds do tend to itch when they're healing.

they shouldn't, however, itch like crazy. that could probably due to allergy or infection. if the former, then change the earrings. check the parts that get in contact with your ears--make sure they're made of materials that are hypoallergenic, or non-reactive. usually gold, silver, stainless steel, or plastic are safe.

if they're infected, then just clean the piercings regularly with an antiseptic, and keep them dry.

  6. I had that same problem even till this day i still do its totally normal. The best way to stop the itch is to dip a q-tip in some peroxide or antiseptic and clean under the hole and around it. Repeat about 2-3 times a day.

  7. You may have a nickel allergy. Some gold and even surgical steel can contain traces of nickel and lots of people are allergic. Call your piercer and ask. Implant grade steel is the highest grade and is always nickel free. If you got a gun piercing, you might very well have gotten cheap studs with nickel. Some people are allergic to gold too. If this doesn't get better in a few days, see a doctor. You could have gotten an infection too, also common with 'piercing guns' in malls, etc.

I have a friend who is a professional piercer. He claims that 'gun' piercings are dangerous and mutilating. I would not go that far BUT I will say, if I ever get another kind of piercing I would go to a body piercing studio. Believe it or not, the tattooed, pierced freaky guy probably knows way more about piercing than some idiot holding a piercing gun at a mall or jewelry store! Piercers are specially trained and keep everything super clean. I would call a piercing studio and ask the professionals! They will be able to tell you what is going on. When in doubt though, always see a doctor. Good luck!
