  1. I actually had a very similar experience and I hurt for about 10 days or so - worse that I could ever have imagined while pregnant.  But it did get better - and pretty quickly after that initial healing period.  Coughing or sneezing were the worst!  Hopefully, your hospital gave you a binding thing that you can wrap around you - that helped me.  Also, stuck a maxi over my incision on my belly to cushion laughing, sneezing or crying that would come along!  :)

Hang in there... it gets better.

    Congratulations, by the way!

  2. Yep i just had my 3rd bub 8 weeks ago, i was only in labour for 1 hr 40 mins with him but still after the birth i was so sore an tired all the time for about a week afterwards.

Just forget about everything else for now and concerntrate on resting, when your son sleeps you should too, you'll feel better soon.

  3. I had a little boy May 21st.  He was 7 lbs 10 oz and 20 1/2 inches- very close to your baby.  I pushed for about 1 1/2 hours.  I did not have to have an episiotomy, but I did tear naturally.  I actually felt pretty good after I gave birth.  Of course my bottom and vaginal area were tender and sore, but that is to be expected.  You may want to consult your doctor about this.  I do not know anyone else that this has happened to, so I honestly would not know what to tell you.  Good luck and I hope you feel better.  Perhaps taking a warm bath would help relax your muscles a bit?

  4. If you are nursing you can't take alot for pain except if they sent you home with something or Tylenol is ok....but if last a couple more days I would call the DR..just to make sure...Try a warm bath...

  5. Congratulations on the birth of your son

Labour is very hard and it sounds like you didn't have the easiest of times, try and take some nice warm baths and relax your muscles.  I'm sorry i'm not much more help but after my second i was very sore it felt like i done a few rounds in the boxing ring,  warm baths often helped.

    :)

  6. I'd say it's normal. Ask your doctor. I ripped when my son was born. It takes time to heal after something like that. Give it time, but if your in too much pain, talk to your doctor.

  7. yep congrats on da new bubs............ i remember after avn my son i was so sore i couldnt take deep breaths i felt weak but it was all due to hours of pushing give it a few days ul b fine again my arms were sore as from holding on to da bed so hard lol oh memorys  i dont miss it  gud luck :)

  8. a lot of the soreness is from the episiotimy. The best answer is to just take it easy, and stay in bed for as much of the time as possible and when you do get up, move real slowly. Don't do too much too quickly, because you're body needs to heal. Besides for the herculean task of delivering a baby, you are also recovering from the cut too. It will take a while, give yourself at least a month, if not two, before expecting yourself to get all your energy, and no pain back. (and that's only if you actually allow yourself to heal, by not doing too much too quickly, and if your baby is easy on you, and allows you to get some rest.

    Congrats and Good Luck

  9. I had a c section and i wasnt very sore sorry im not much help. hope you get to feeling better soon and congrats!!!

  10. The pains normal. Try to relax, eat well, and drink lots of water and juice. It'll take time to heal...that's why they say no s*x for 6 weeks and why most moms take 6 weeks off. Some take the full 6 weeks to heal..some take less...some take more. Just try to remind yourself that it's all worth it ;) If something really concerns you give your obgyn a call and ask about it. If your episiotomy is bothering you try using tucks wipes and I had some kind of cold spray in a can from the hosp that worked miracles!! Let the housework go or have someone else do it...lay on the couch or in bed when you need to rest...just try to stay comfy and snuggle with baby....I found the 6 weeks of recovery time was the best bonding time!! Best of luck.

  11. I don't think we realize how hard we work in labor because we are so wrapped up in the new little one. But seriously even though it seems like it was over before you knew it, you worked your butt off and you are sore because of it.  Take some motrin or tylenol and rest when he does.  Trust me it will take a couple weeks to get back to feeling a little better.  Congrats to you and your new baby.

  12. You're body is probably healing and trying to get back to normal

Or the dcrs may have made a mistake

This happened to my mum she had to go back and they'd stitched it wrong

So go to the dcrs and get it checked out before it gets worse (Y)

  13. I basically had the same issue. I was in labor for 48 hours (yes thats right- 2 days! ugh!) and pushed for 2 hours. My son was 8lbs 4ozs & 22inches (big for me! i was 115 pounds and 5'2'' when i got pregnant, i delivered at 160lbs)  I got cut as well because he couldnt get his head out- however i tore even past the cut! it took a 1/2 hour to stitch me up. I was in an unbelievable amount of pain. I almost passed out when I first got up to go to the bathroom (needless to say that lightheaded feeling everytime i got up didnt go away until day 3 after delivery). I couldnt even shift my position in bed without the help of someone. I was in terrible amounts of pain and not to get into too much information but i had about 3 hemrroids the size of ping pong balls. It was terrible and those shrunk a little where I could walk ok a week later but I sat on a pillow for a week and they finally went all the way down about 3 or 4 weeks after delivery. But the pain from labor ended about 4 days after delivery- it was the pain of the hemrriods which kept me in the pain later on. So if you have those, be prepared for a battle and keep some witch hazel near you! I didnt mean to get into too much detail but I wanted you to know that you were not alone.

  14. remember u got to have him how u wanted. i had an emergency c-section and was not mentally prepared. middle of the nite jumps were horrible until i swallowed a little pill, tylox. i think! congrats on ur painful bundle of joy!
