I had my wisdom teeth taken out on tuesday, and I'd heard smoking wasnt good for the first few days or week. But thats because sucking in that hard could rip out the stitches. So I should be fine if I don't inhale that hard right?

  1. Because it causes dry pockets, and slows down the healing process

  2. It has something to do with your ability to clot and therefore not bleed...please wait a day or two.

  3. don't smoke

    it's a bad habit

causes damage to your lungs, teeth, skin, and eyes.

    Can give you cancer.

Every cigarette you smoke loses you a day of your life.

  4. It isn't.

When you inhale, you have to suck in on the cigarette, and any sucking movement can dislodge the clot that is helping your gums heal.

You do not want a dry socket.

I waited until 3 days before I lit one up.

**It doesn't matter if it's cigarettes, weed or whatever. Any sucking movement can dislodge the clot.

that includes drinking from straws also.
