  1. some players play with broken fingers and stuff like that

  2. extremely dangerous

  3. Very, how's your friend ''ACE'' doing¿ P.S. no, I'm not Ace, but I remember you had a 'war' with that guy on here.

  4. Very. There have been numerous spinal injuires reported. One bad tackle and you can end up in a wheelchair for life.

  5. very

  6. Really it depends where the player plays. The fowards are more liable to injuries as they are involved in the scrum and lineouts and can have as serious injuries as broken necks although this is rare, backs aren't as physical but unlike other high impact sports still only wear minimal armour. common injuries are fractures, strains and tears.

  7. i've played the sport for some years, its actually not as bad as you might think, there are some strict rules; tackling above the shoulders is prohibited and so tackling is usually clean and involves grabbing the legs together and pushing the oponent over or using his momentum so he falls.

Scums where the opposing teams lock together at the start of a set of play is harmless. rucks and mauls can be quite dangerous which occur during play usually when someone is tackled and the team whose player was tackled drives over their player (avoiding stepping on him) to fend off the other team. Any use by studs on the players boots here is prohibited as could cause serious injury. Serious injuries do happen in the game as it is rough but then most players are tough, well trained and fit.

  8. There is potential for serious injury but the majority of injuries are minor, such as broken fingers, ribs, bruises , cuts etc.

Broken arms and broken legs happen quite regular but they are often freak injuries.

Ive played 15 years and never seen a broken neck or back.

So on the whole i would say it is very safe to play.

I personally dont wear much protection, the only bit i have is a support and shin pad around my right shin, to ease the impact on the leg i broke.

I have no problem with others wearing sholder pads scrum caps etc.

I play rubgy league the code which i feel has more impact.

  9. It's a very hard and physical game but no more dangerous than any other contact sport.

There are now Womens International as well as club teams.

  10.
