Just how good is Jayson Bay?

Jayson Bay omg this guy has been awsome since he got in Boston do you think he can keep it up ?

He has been doing well for the red sox.  I'll wait until the postseason and then next year to say whether he is as good as he has been.

I made the same mistake with Ellsbury.  He was wicked good last year, but this year was kind of a dissapointmant for me.  I know it's just his first year, and he will get better.

He's been phenomenal for the Red Sox.

Not only is he hitting as well as Manny was, but he's actually running in the field and on the bases. His attitude fits in well with that of the Red Sox, and all-around, he's a better player than Manny.

Jason Bay averaged a .280 BA, 30 HRs ,100 RBI and 1- SBs in his years with the Pirates.  And that was hitting in a line up that offered him no protection whatsoever.  With Papi hitting behind him, he's going to get even more fastballs to hit.

You shouldn't be surprised.  He wasn't exactly a chump before he got to Boston.  You just never noticed him.

Nobody knows how good Bay really is.  He has played his entire career in Pittsburgh.  The Pirates have not had a meaningful game in over 15 years.  He could just be having a hot streak, or he could be that good.

yes, absolutely he can keep it up. He is now in a great lineup so he will continue to see better pitches to hit.  And he has caught pennant fever, like the rest of the lineup.

Have you noticed that he has scored and knocked in more runs than Manny? and that the Red Sox have won WAY more games than the Dodgers since the trade?

So who do you think got hte best deal?  Looks like the SOX to me.

Watching Bay since he got th Boston I'd say a great addition to the Sox. Manny being Manny was entertaining, but it got old. I think he'll end up being a huge part of the 2008 Sox team.
