  1. my magic 8 ball say 10,926 will be the very botton

  2. It's a tough on to call.  Look now at isolated sectors. The food companies should be showing better results in the next few quarters due to the fact that more people are eating at home and they make up for higher ingredient costs by raising their prices.

  3. Give up the stock market, it is a  fools' game.

I have just seen that in English money, in the last 10 years, my S&P500 tracker only rose 6.5% . That is 0.61% pa and far below below bank deposits.

My tracker for theUK market rose 40.1% but this also is below bank deposits.

  4. No one really knows the answer to this question, but there are some tricks you can play so as to not be too bad off.

    1. You can wait for a spike in the VIX, which usually ends a downward move. We may be heading towards such a spike now. IMO this will probably merely result in a bear market rally.

    2. You can follow IBD and what they call a follow-through day.

    3. Put a stop in in every stock. If it goes down by a certain amount, get out.

    4. Do NOT listen to the over-optimistic heads on CNBC. They're for the most part money managers who are paid to manage money and paid for relative performance but not absolute performance. They eat no matter what the market does.
