My husband was working on our central air unit and blew a hole in a hose and it's spraying out all the freon.

  1. oh d**n, freon?  man that **** will **** you up fo sho!

  2. I don't think that freon is toxic to humans directly. It is dangerous and harmful to the atmosphere.  That is why it was removed from the market.  It damages the ozone layer, or so I've been told.

  3. if you have a hose, you need to have it redone anyway. all freon lines are better when hard piped.

no, not toxic."Because Freon is non-toxic, it eliminated the danger posed by refrigerator leaks." http://inventors.about.com/library/inven...

supposedly, it harms to ozone layer. it escapes too fast under atmospheric pressure to linger any length of time to hurt anyone.

Now, if he put that hose in his azz....:))
