Just installed Skype and having trouble with sound from contact?

I can se my contact but she cannot see me, is Skype the best im?

it the best IM today in terms video and audio coverage. over 10 million people use it everyday so in my opinion it's going to be on the top or maybe have a small difference on Yahoo and MSN. that is my opinion cause i've been using YM and Skype and skype is way better on audio and video xD but YM is cool on chatting ^___^
