Just like my other question about Nassau I'm also going to Freeport, Bahamas. Is that way better than Nassau?

From the questions posted I don't think Nassau is so much fun. But what about Freeport, Bahamas. Is there cool things to do than Nassau?

i will say this.. ihate nassau but i love freeport because it my home town but it a dead town ..so i will say abaco and long island r the best ilsands in da bahamas

Ignore all those people that said bad things about Nassau - and shame on me, cause I've said bad things about it too.  If you've never been to the Caribbean - you are probably going to really have a great time in Nassau.  The truth is, it's not my favorite Caribbean island, but doesn't mean it isn't a fun place to go!  If you take any of the excursions, you will probably have a really nice time.  Immediately outside the port its a real touristy place.  People line up to sell you things and stuff.  It's a little annoying.  Within walking distance of the ship is the city area - all walkable.  But outside this overpopulated area is a really nice Caribbean paradise.  Once you've been to a few more islands you might understand what everyone was talking about - it's not that Nassau is missing somethng, it's that the other islands are so much more.  But you will probably be very pleased with your first trip here.  Sign up for something fun and adventurous and have a great time.  If you look your cruise up on-line, you'll be able to see what type of excursion are available.  

I've not been to Freeport yet, lol - I just saw your comment on Nassau and it made me sad :(

Freeport is a great place to go especially if your not into crowds and long waits......its more quiet, it has alot of beaches where you can escape from the world, it has shopping, clubs and a little night life in Port Lucaya, it also has real caves where indians used to live that you can explore. Freeport is much bigger than nassau in size but has much less people, so i would recommend Freeport. If your going to both places, Atlantis in Nassau is the highlight of Paradise Island.
