There the larger black ants that seem to wander around aimlessly. They don't get in food or bite, they are just anoying, and there are a bunch of spiders too, because they have easy meals. The garage by the utility sink looks like an ant grave yard. The house has been empty for a while I think. We sprayed a bunch of wasps nests too. They keep comming back and my mother is highly alergic to them.

  1. call orkin, i had a similar problem and store bought sprays did not cut it.  But orkin sprayed and everything was gone in about a week.  It was a life saver because i am kinda really bothered by bugs.

  2. they hate creosote

or the old fashened wasp traps with suger water in

  3. I second the advice that a one-time use of Orkin may be in order, just to get everything out.  Other than that, I've found that DE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diatomaceou... is WONDERFUL for sprinkling everywhere-nooks and crannies, all around the outside, all around the inside, sweeping into cracks, all around pipes, etc.  It is safe for humans, but harmful to all the creepy crawlies you've mentioned.   Lastly, in addition to the constant spraying and removal of the nests, you may want to find out what birds naturally eat the wasps in your area and put up some bird houses and food that cater to that species.  I hope this helps!
