Ok, lately I've just started reading the book The Amityville Horror by Jay Anson. I'm a fan of the 1979 and 2005 movies as well. But last night and I have no idea why, but I had an eerie dream. Me & my brothers were walking down this street I live by and (it was nite) we walked past this house and suddenly outta nowhere, sparks flew from the house and fire erupted from the house. We continued walking, and this same thing happened with each house we passed by. Sparks fly and the house catches fire. Pretty soon we could see the whole street, all the houses were on fire. It was wierd. And another eerie part of the dream I had was I somehow met this woman and she invited me over to her house and she told me she'd like me to meet her husband so i said "Ok." (He was in the bathroom) and the bathroom door opens and out walks Ronald DeFeo Sr. One of the Amityville murder vicims. He was dressed in a dark blue robe, brushing his teeth. Now that i look back on it the woman loked like Louise defeo

  1. aahhh.......you're getting out what you put in that head of yours.

  2. Given that you had just read the book then went to bed and having a dream about it was merely coincidental.

  3. Just your mind trying to resolve the murders. You are role playing to change the ending. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if you revisited that dream many times in the coming week.

Your time and mind might be better suited to trying to figure out who did all the shooting. Even the cops know he couldn't have killed all those people himself and that someone had to have held the others at gunpoint. BUT the coroner said the children, all but the oldest daughter died in their sleep. How can that happen with only one gun?

Let your mind consider a different scenario, he was down stairs or even absent from the house. His mother and oldest sister made a pact to kill the husband and father. The shooting turned into a frenzy after the daughter killed the father as agreed but decided to 'off' the children to share the inheritance. In the ensuing struggle the mother is killed. Remember her death and that of the oldest daughter were different. Then the brother comes up stairs in a drug induced stupor and kills the sister. He makes a call to mafia grandpa who says you'll take the rap or die too. So there he sits in jail and will not give a complete story of how it was pulled off. You see he spent the rest of the night, morning, afternoon and early evening cleaning up the crime scene. Nobody really knows..but him.

  4. If you were reading this book...you probably read a lot of other scary books. You're probably thinking about things like this a lot. I was into something years ago and read about it almost all the time and studied it and listened to tapes as I went to sleep(back in the day when I could sleep)..and I got brainwashed by it. It's taken years to try to get it out of my head. Just be careful about reading these things too much.  I do believe that when we sleep we lose self control and I think this can give spirits access to our minds. But, in this case...I think it's just your mind replaying what you read in the book.

  5. Think it's just your mind unwinding while you sleep.  You're probably dreaming about what you experience in your mind when you're awake.

Relax and chill out, okay!  Need not read too deeply into every dream you have =)

  6. ...... I AM THE MINDFREAK..................................

  7. Not a coincidence, You read the book of course you are going to dream about it, if you think about it constantly and go to bed holding thoughts of that book.

  8. Sounds like an example of how dreams can incorporate real-world information.  I wouldn't see that as anything paranormal, except that a bit of the real world information is the name of a murder victim.

The Amityville Horror is a fictional book.  I encourage you to research further to see how the authors created the hoax:
