Just need a little help with the types of wolves... ?

Question

I'm writing a story about some wolves, but I need to find out the type of wolves they should be.

I just know that I want the wolves to live in an area that has snow sometimes or all the time, and I want them to be gray-coloured, preferably light grey.

So what kind of wolves fit this description? Any suggestions or opinions? Any other information would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

ill just name them all (the ones i know) and put them in catergory!
Artic,gray,timber,red,mexican...
Now the places they usually live in!
Tundra,Slough creek, yellow stone park,russia
All of the above have snow in them and sometimes land.
Now the colors!
Artics are completly white, grays are obviously enough grey with maybe a few dust spots of brown, timbers are usually brown but do have dust spots of gray,red are obviously enough red(dont get the idea of the color red in the rainbow lol) usually with large spots that are brown all around body and mexicans are redish brown as well!!!!
Thats all the info i know and im hoping all the info ya need...
