  1. no hamsters don't need a bath because they clean themselves like cats. but they do enjoy sand baths though.

  2. Personally, I would not give a hamster sand baths.  It can irritated their respiratory system.  Rats, gerbils, and hamsters all have sensitive respiratory systems.  However, if you would like to clean your hamster off a little, take a warm towel and gently rub him.  Don't actually submerge him in water.

  3. never wash a hamster in water never unless you want to kill it

  4. Water baths are not the best types of baths for a hamster.  Sand baths are the best kind of bath for a hamster.  Get some chinchilla sand and put it in like a food dish and let your hamster roll around in it.  They love to roll in it, plus it gives them a good bath.  I hope this helps.

  5. your not supposed to give water baths to hammys. sand baths with chinchill sand -NOT DUST- is preferred, howeer if your hammy has something on its fur that the sand wont take off, use a wascloth dipped in lukewarm water to gently rub it off. =]

  6. well water baths are bad for hamsters. sand baths are a good uhhh what do you call it other resource.
