Question:

Just one more question before i get my hamster/hamsters?

I know that females can be in the same cage.(Dwarves) but can male Dwarves be paired together?

(Incase i find winter whites but in a mixed cage)

  1. Yes, as long as they come from the same litter (same tank) at the same time, it should be alright.


  2. Yes. Provided that they are from the same litter they are usually fine in pairs.

  3. Most of the time male dwarf hamsters will live well together, but last time I had them in the same cage the bigger one ate the smaller one. The started off well but then they became to competitive and started bickering all the time. Then one morning the other one had eaten the other, so I don't recomend it.

  4. i work at Petsmart and the winter white hamsters are VERY aggressive. Don't put more then 1 in a cage. we constantly have to seperate them because they attack each other we had a few winter whites almost kill each other

  5. yep, i had 2 of them and they bickered sometimes but that was over food!!!!  so.......  yea you can.

  6. Yeah all dwarf hamsters can be in together

  7. I think so but if you put a female in one male will eat the other.  If the female has babies take the male out he will eat the babies and sometimes the female will eat the babies if you handle them to much
