Just purchased a 52 inch

Just purchased a 52 inch flat plasma tv. Problem with the volume. When volume is fully extended, the volume is still low and definitely unsatisfactory. Would like to know if there is an adjustment that I am overlooking, or if that is the extent. In which case, I will return it.
