  1. Just take them back to the store. Most places are good about taking them back. My potatoes last for weeks. I put mine in the fridge though.

  2. Did you keep them somewhere dark and cool and dry?  Often times they are sold in plastic bags (take them out) and that is not good because they get moisture in there and rot faster.  most likely you had one bad potatoes in there and that will really spoil the entire batch, especially if there is moisture

  3. maybe because of the temperature change :)

  4. maybe you kept it in an area with too much heat

  5. This is usually due to bad parents, friends, or teachers.  Drugs and s*x usually follow.

  6. It might of been they have been sitting on the shelf at the store for a period of time and when you got them home, some had already started decaying and you didn't see them.

  7. They absorbed too much liquid..were in a humid enviroment.

  8. Could be a number of things. The humidity in your home, if it was in a dark place, etc.

I put mine in the fridge to make them keep longer, BUT it also brings out the sugar and makes them sweeter.

  9. You probably had a bad one when you bought them.  I try never to buy packaged vegetables especially potatoes and oranges.
