She had been in the same cage with him and 2 other males, for 7 days, thought this was the one she liked, but now all they do is fight. What should I do?

  1. Assuming they are tame birds, keep them in seperate cages, down the same end of the room, but not immediately next to each other.

When it's play time let them both out, and 'supervise'. Being outside their cages means that it's neither birds 'territory', and so they are on equal ground.

Try this for a week or so and if they behave well with each other, you could move next their cages next to each other.

If they then keep talking to each other and playing well and seem to get along, and you want to try putting them in the same cage together, put the male in the female's cage rather than the other way around as in general male birds tend to be more territorial than females.

The most important thing to remember is to watch, watch, watch! If they start fighting again, You could try this process again.

Worst case scenario, if they still don't get along after all the effort, well they will still have company and someone of their own kind to talk to, even if it's from seperate cages!

    Hope this helps

  2. Put him and her in a separate cage.  They need to be away from the other two males.  But if they keep fighting it is best to separate them.
