Just received Ming Motorola A1200

just received Ming Motorola A1200 unlocked and unbranded from ebay. ok to receive network signal I currently use t-mobile. but put in t-mobile SIM card and no network signal nor can I place and receive calls. when phone powers up just says "search...". problem?
