It looks to me like these jeans were stolen and had those security tags that when tampered with, release dye on the jeans. The dye is redish/pinkish in color and is on the bottom of both pant legs, and are the size of a extra large egg. How can I remove the stains? The jeans look great but the stains just ruin them! any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks.

  1. Did the ebay write up say that they were stained? They needed to tell you that.

    What a shame. I hope you can get it out since you like the jeans so much. Have you tried just scrubbing with a brush and soapy water? I guess that would be too easy though. Bleach could take out all the color. Man! I hope you get some good answers.

  2. I have had great results when I soak in oxiclean, It doesn't hurt any fabric, whites or colors. Whites and colors come out looking bright and new.

    This is what I do for stains;

    It takes out most every stain, in an hour to three days.

    Dissolve 1/2 cup oxiclean powder in some hot water, in a bucket or large bowl. Add enough water so the item can soak. Add cold water after the oxiclean is dissolved when the item should not be in hot water. Let soak till the stain is gone.

    Each day Refresh the oxiclean and water. By draining the water and making a new mixture.

    I got hair dye, food stains, mold & mildew, grass stains, yellowing from age, under arm stains out, also bleeding from other colors out ( remember to use cold water), just to name a few tough stains that can be gotten out!

  3. you can remove this dye by removing the cloth , it is specially designed  to be un removable I have worked on the manufacture of this dye , there are no chemicals that will remove it without destroying the fabric ,It is designed as a security measure to prevent theft and to make the item  worthless.

    I would suggest that you contact ebay and the police who wil trace the seller , perhaps allowing you to get your money back
