When I was at my last my last doctor's appointment at 18 weeks I had blood drawn for those tests...I forgot what they're for....err...down syndrome and stuff I think. Are they going to mail the results back or call? Or will they just wait until my next appointment? I know my doctor explained all this to me but I've been so spacey lately, argh. Thanks! =]

  1. well with my pregnancy whenever the doctor got faxed the results he called me, but it might be different with your doctor?  if it's serious though they will call you by phone.  But i'm pretty sure they always phone no matter what, but don't quote me on that I could be wrong

    congrats (:

  2. The results will be faxed to your doctor who will check to make sure they are normal, well thats what my doctor does. Any abnormalities they will call and ask you to come in

    good luck and congrats

  3. Most likely wait until your next doc appointment. Depends if its serious or not.. they never mail you results he will either call or just wait. Good Luck! Dont stress over the down syndrome test.. its usually wrong if positive!

  4. If anything turns up wrong, they'll call you as soon as they find out. Usually, they forget all about it if nothing is wrong. Feeling spacey is definitely normal. I am going through a...tongue tied thing this month. I wanted a simple milkshake today, and I said everything but a milkshake. I know I look very ignorant. Ugh. Congrats and good luck!

  5. THEY WILL CALL IF ANYTHING shows up or that at what my doctor said i neverar got a call and the don't have any thing wromg

  6. If everything is normal they will usually wait until your next appt.

Also - I remember you saying a few weeks ago that you had not felt the baby move/kick yet - has it happened finally?! =)

  7. I'm pretty sure that unless there was really a cause for concern they will go over it at your next appointment.... :)

  8. Usually if the test come back negative (ok) they dont tell you anything.  So the fact you havent gotten a phone call is a good thing.  Some offices do so many tests that they dont have time to call every individual patient and tell them the results.  If you havent heard anything by week 20, its safe to assume you're good to go.
