Just saw on news, New Orleans' LEVEE BREACHED.?

Fox News on site reported CLAIMS in a different place where it was breeched in Katrina. What does this mean for New Orleans???

A levee being breached simply means that it's job has been compromised atsome point, this does not mean it has cracked open, which is sort of what happened for katrina. A levee in fact has been breached as th ewaters are coming over it and it is not protecting the way it should. For Katrina, this happened and the force of the waters coming over caused a collapse of the levee area. There is some flooding in the 9th ward area due to this breach.

I'm watching FOX and haven't heard that a levee has been breached.  They are showing water going over the top, but I've not heard them say "it's been breeched."  They are saying it could easily be.

no this is not true there is no levees that has been pushed down(breached) there just being over topped meaning the water is just going over the top of the levees as of rite now
