  1. there are still nerves! you don't need a head. I mean, come on look at a fly when there head gets torn off. The wings and the legs still wiggle around!


  2. Most mammals have an extra "brain" built in. (Ours is located in our spine) It is the first to decode messages such as "get your hand out of the fire!" before it reaches the brain in our head. Perhaps this is the case for the snake.

  3. After you cut off a snake's head, the veins in its body are still intact and can function for over 3 hours.

  4. i cant explain it but i happen to live in the south and they say once you cut their head off, they dont stop moving until the sun goes down. im sure thats not true, but yeah its crazy how they keep movin around
