  1. i felt the same when i first got my mac. trust me, once you get the hang of it, you wont want to deal with PCs crashing and failing on you.

soooo anyway lots of people have trouble with the right click issue. just use control>click and it should do the trick. if you buy a mouse with a right click the right click will work just fine, that is what I use.

as for limewire, i have never used it, so i would just guess that it is an application that isnt compatible with mac, just like bitorrent and most computer games dont work for mac. programmers deliver to a market that is mostly windows PCs, so they generally dont bother to cater to mac users. blame them, not the mac.

  2. some stuff you get from Limewire is not comatibale with Mac format just check what kind of player you need to open your photos or what ever,,

    limewire has Mac version too..

if you can not find right click welcome to Mac just click on the file/folder and on top menu click on File its the same as right click... to make it easier for you hold Cotrol key (Ctrl) and click on the file or folder (it is the same as right click)

  3. OK, if it's got a clear mouse it's definitely not a *new* Mac... this is a used Mac you got from someone else right? (the clear mice shipped with the Power Mac & iMac G4's which are anywhere from 4 to 8 years old)

The older Macs used a single button mouse (the clear one, they sucked, the new Mac Mice are a lot better), no right clicking. ctrl + click will work, or you can grab any 2 button USB mouse and the right click will work fine.

Photofiltre is only available for Windows, here's a link to a download site for Mac compatible software. (new Macs can run it with Windows installed,  but not a Mac that old)

Limewire will run fine on a Mac, but you need the Mac version:

It's not really the Mac's fault that you don't know much about it, if you can describe what it looks like I should be able to find you a help file that will teach you more about it so you don't have these problems.

Unfortunately you're not just transitioning from Windows to Mac, youre also transitioning to obsolete technology, which is going to make things a bit frustrating to start, just keep calm, it's not the same as a Windows machine, and certainly not the same as a new machine. The Mac can do tons of cool stuff (more if we can figure out what model and OS you're using) but it will tke time for you to get used to it.

  4. "so i decided to set up my new mac computer" thats your first problem only way to fix it is to now have gotten a mac

"and it has this weird, clear mouse" thats... a mac for you. you can probably just get any USB mouse to work.

"and i can't friggen right click on it, wtf?" see previous two statements.

"i can't get my photofiltre OR limewire to work" i honestly don't know i guess there just not compatible with mac
