Just sold something one ebay, How does the print postage work?

Well i just sold something and i charged 5 for shipping, so i know i can print it out online. What if i put the wrong ounces or pounds ? i dont have a scale what if i put less or more? will it still mail ?

  1. In order to print postage on line, with the USPS sysyem, you need to know the exact weight of the item. You can, however, print out the shipping label without postage and pay the postage at the P.O. when you mail the package.


  2. It might get sent back to you if you put in the wrong amount and they catch it. Go to the post office and pay for shipping there. Remember to get a delivery confirmation for tracking.

    But before you do that do google your item and the words "shipping weight". Many ecommerce websites (Amazon always does it) post the item's weight on their item page. Just copy theirs.
