I have so much to do and so much homework and so many things after school and ive been forgetting books and stuff and im just so stressed. Im going to an arts school, which means i have twice as much as a normal school and its really beginning to wear on me.

Just the second week ive got:

1000 word essay (which i know isnt that much but still)

auditions for 3 plays, and 2 clubs

two tests in english

a speech

a test in cinema

a test in theatre

500 spanish vocab words

a test in geometry

a test in biology

forensics debate team

AND two new puppies to take of

a job

cleaning the house (all 3 floors of it)

....and im not even counting the homework. Can anyone help me get organized or something?

OH and I ride the city bus so i dont get home till over 2 hours after school gets out. Please help me I dont know what to do.

  1. If you concentrate in the lessons at school and make sure you take in as much as possible while its being taught to you, you can probably get away without doing any extra work for the tests. This means that you will have more time to do the rest or your homework and so will do it to a better standard.

  2. Well do some studying on the bus instead of wasting that time staring out the window. That's a few hours saved there.

For the rest, try to make a plan and stick to it. Take it one bit at a time instead of getting overwhelmed by the whole picture.

  3. Start doing all your homework in your classes so you don't have to cram for tests. That will probably assure you of better grades, and it will give you some extra time.

Prioritize. Which of these assignments is due first. Do it first. Which will be the most difficult for you? Do that in bits and start early. You could make flash cards for the Spanish and run through them on the bus to and from school.

There's not much to say for the puppies and the house cleaning. It sounds like you're stuck with that.

It sounds like you got all excited about high school and have bitten off more than you can chew. You are going to have to give up some of the things on your list or you won't complete any of it. As you get a handle on the demands of your class work and your duties at home, you can add in more extra curricular activities.

You may want to forget about the plays. I used to direct high school plays and musicals and I know how time consuming they are. I don't know what clubs you're interested in, but you may want to wait until next semester for them, or just join one for now.

I don't know about your financial needs, but your job may well have to go. It's time and you don't have too much of it.

Is the debate and forensics for a class or is it one more extra thing? Let it go for a semester or until next year if it's extra.

  4. don't concentrate on the size of your homework concentrate on the subject itself, try to be easy on  yourself and take things one at a time and you'll find yourself back on track shortly.

oh n you definetly need a plan to stay organized.
